The work of the Sectoral Innovation Panels was not restricted to the results of the project but also addressed other "hot" innovation policy issues: Panels' members have reviewed topics such as the Aho Report (Panel Round 1), Innovation and Lead Markets (Panel Round 2), the impact of ITAR on "Space downstream applications and "Future developments and planning for the Europe INNOVA initiative" " (Panel Round 3).
Every Sectoral Innovation Panel meeting provided the basis for a structured policy document that illustrated the main conclusions and recommendations to contribute to policy formulation and improving innovation policy efficiency.
Each Panel consists of a maximum ten participants (chairman and members) plus a number of observers (up to three). The timetable for the panel meetings was:
