In the Sectoral Innovation Watch, a number of reports and other outputs are about to be produced, which are detailed in the section on Publications and Tools below. Other activities of the Sector Innovation Watch team include:
- Analysing trends in, and reporting on, innovation performance in the SIW's nine sectors;
- Offering insights into broad framework conditions that are valid across sectors and Europe's regions;
- Organising foresight activities that focus on future opportunities and challenges related to potentially disruptive technologies, new markets and events and which predict their likely effects at sectoral level;
- Identifying and analysing current and potential bottlenecks that influence sectoral innovation performance, paying special attention to the role of markets and regulations;
- Exploring and identifying lead markets across sectors with a special interest in the Knowledge Intensive Sector;
- Exploring patterns of innovation specialisation across Member States and the effects of this specialisation on sectoral innovation performance;
- Identifying and analysing eco-innovation opportunities across sectors;
- Continuing to share the knowledge generated by SIW through dialogue and interactive events with innovation professionals and policy makers.
